American worldwide health services provider, Cigna is a major corporation with several subsidiaries. The head company is based in Wilmingon, Delaware, while similar Cigna-associated operations are headquartered in California, Scotland and China. Meanwhile the company’s major sales offices are located across North America, the Middle East, Asia and Europe.

“We Help You Be at Your Best,” is Cigna’s tagline. Cigna is known for its full and extended health care plans offered on a global scale. It’s global healthcare includes dental, medical, behavioral and disability alongside travel and life sectors. It is a major provider for expatriates and non-residents, whom Cigna defines as employees working outside of their home on both long and short-term contracts.

CIGNA CIEB is in charge of its in-house international claims unit, which offers a growing resume of physicians and hospitals for its clients. This includes some 550,000 medical providers in the U.S. and over 141,000 internationally.

In 2009, Cigna received the Gold Award for the 2009 Gartner & 1to1 Customer Experience Excellence. The recognition is usually awarded to companies that demonstrate exemplary customer satisfaction. It also received the JD Power award for excellent customer service at its call centers – the fourth time in a row.
