BNH Hospital History

BNH Hospital was originally established to provide comprehensive nursing care to expatriates in the Kingdom of Siam in 1898. Founded by the then-British Ambassador to Thailand, Mr. George Grenville, BNH became one of the first private hospitals in the Kingdom.

In 1901, BNH was granted a royal charter by King Rama VI in honor of his father, King Rama V, becoming a non-profit organization that extended its care to the Thai people. Consequently, in 1991, BNH Hospital was established as a new internationally-standardized hospital able to meet the demands of both the domestic and international market for private health care.

Electrocardiogram (Resting EKG) is an electrical recording of the heart that interpretation allows diagnosis of a wide range of heart conditions.
Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) Vascular Screening is a non-invasive testing of the peripheral vascular arterial flow to determine peripheral vascular disease (PVD), checking your EKG and blood pressure at arms and legs.
Tranthoracic Echocardiogram (TTE) is a test that uses sound waves to create a moving picture of the heart. It can be quite helpful in establishing a specific diagnosis and estimating the severity of various heart diseases.
Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) is a useful tool used to evaluate the function and small detailed structures of the heart and associated vessels. The TEE procedure uses ultrasound waves to produce images of the heart. Performing a TEE involves passing a tube into the esophagus, or swallowing tube.

Probably one of Thailand’s best and the only place where I’m taking my young child for her classic children health issue. Price is the only “issue” as a consultation there costs in average 2 times more than at other private hospitals, let alone public hospitals. But if you can afford to it, that’s a no-brainer.

My favorite hospital in Bangkok. Honest price for international standards. All the staff speaks English, no queue, quick and efficient service and most importantly accurate diagnosis from the doctors. Close from the BTS and a lot of restaurant inside.
